BASIC HUMMUS RECIPE:

  • 2 cans of chickpeas
  • 4 tsp tahini
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 8 tbsp water
  • 6 tbsp olive oil + drizzle
  • Paprika or Za’atar

Rinse the chickpeas and add to the food processor or blender, keeping some chickpeas on the side for decoration. Add tahini, garlic, salt, lemon juice and seven tbsp of water. Blend, slowly adding the olive oil to the mixture.

Transfer blended mixture into a bowl, add the remaining chickpeas to the top and drizzle with more olive oil. Sprinkle some paprika or za’atar and enjoy!
